Kirkby Underwood is a village of 80 households located around four miles north of Bourne in southern Lincolnshire, in the district of South Kesteven.
The village[2] is situated exactly 1 mile west of the main A15 trunk road. To the east is Rippingale and the Fens; directly to the south is the hamlet of Stainfield and to the west Hawthorpe. Between the village and Hawthorpe, near Callan's Lane Wood[3] (run by the Forestry Commission), are a pair of radio masts[4] and a BT microwave transmitter.[5] The village church is dedicated to St. Mary & All Saints.[6]
